About the Artist
I grew up in India, where people, colour and everyday street life first drew me towards portraiture and figurative painting. After moving to the UK, painting gradually became more than a passion and developed into my full-time practice.
My fascination with faces and expression eventually led me to animals, which I began to see as portraits in their own right — full of character, emotion and individuality. Living in the UK also brought a growing love of the coast and landscape, and I now work across watercolour, acrylic and oil to explore both living subjects and the atmosphere of place.
Whatever the subject, my work is driven by emotion, colour and expression.
